Business Buying | Buy an Established Business | PK Private Wealth
PK Private Wealth · Business Buying

Skip the hard years. Buy one that already works.

The bit that changes everything

Most businesses fail. This one already did not.

Starting from scratch means years of hoping. Hoping people want it, hoping the phone rings, hoping you last long enough to find out.

An established business has already answered all of that. Customers come back. Money arrives. Staff know what to do on Monday morning without being told. Somebody else absorbed the risk and the sleepless nights, and you get the result.

That is the whole idea. You are not buying a dream. You are buying a track record, and you get to read every page of it before you decide.

Why people do this

What owning one actually gives you.

The reasons our buyers give us, roughly in the order they say them out loud.

You earn from week one

It is already trading. You are buying this month’s revenue, not next year’s hope.

You can check everything first

Years of real accounts to go through. You decide on evidence, not on a feeling.

It runs while you learn

Staff, suppliers and systems keep turning over while you find your feet.

Your effort changes what it is worth

Unlike most assets, your ideas can lift the value. Work on it and it grows.

Years ahead of a startup

You skip the stage where most new businesses quietly disappear.

Something to hand on

A business you own outright is an asset you can grow, sell later, or pass to your family.

What we look at

More kinds than people imagine.

We match the business to your budget, your skills and how involved you actually want to be day to day.

Where we earn our keep

We look hard before you leap.

Most of the value we add happens before you sign anything, in the part nobody enjoys doing.

Is the revenue real

We test whether the money in the accounts matches the money in the bank.

What are you inheriting

Contracts, leases, staff entitlements and any surprises hiding in them.

What is it honestly worth

An independent view on price, so you are not paying for someone else’s optimism.

Will it survive the handover

Whether the customers, staff and suppliers stay once the old owner walks out.

Who tends to do this

Where you might see yourself.

Three fairly different people. The same instinct.
Your own thing

The first time owner

Back yourself, without the gamble
You have wanted to run something for years, but starting from nothing always felt like too big a risk to take.
More coming in

The income seeker

You want to earn beyond your salary
You want money arriving from something you control, rather than only from the hours you personally work.
Bigger, faster

The existing owner

Grow by acquiring

You already run something good. Buying a competitor or a neighbouring business is the quickest way to scale it.

Fair questions

What buyers ask before they commit.

1. How much money do I actually need?
It varies enormously depending on the business and how you fund it. Many buyers use a mix of savings, lending and sometimes support from the seller. We map realistic options against your position early rather than after you have fallen in love with something.
Often not. Plenty of good businesses come with a team and systems that keep running regardless. We factor in the handover and training period, and we only match you with something you are genuinely capable of running.
That is exactly what we are for. We go through the accounts, the legals, the customers, the lease and the staff and get an independent view on value. If the story and the numbers do not line up, we tell you to walk away.
It is one of the first things we test. We look at how concentrated the customer base is, how much depends on personal relationships, and what handover period is needed to protect it.
Usually a few months from the first conversation to handover, depending on the business and what the checks uncover. We keep it moving without rushing the part that protects you.
Yes. The first few months matter most, so we stay close through the handover and help you settle in with the team, the suppliers and the systems.

There is a good one on the market right now.
